Does anyone know any good, free manager for autostarts (you know, what programs starts when Windows starts)?
Thanks for replies.
Start => Run => type msconfig => OK => Startup.
List of all the programs that start with windows. Generally, you can eliminate all but a few - antivirus, firewall...
Yeah I don't understand the point of startup managers when you can just do what was said above. Just another way to rip people off I guess.
I use "Starter Guard" a plugin to Total Commander.
You can edit the files in the folders for Startup under each profile on your PC (in Windows), as someone said earlier, or you can also use programs like SpybotS&D or Registry First Aid, both of which serve additional useful purposes, aside from just doing something as mundane as regulating startup programs... Both programs can be found with a quick Google. Spybot S&D is freeware, and RFA has a small fee attached to it. Hope this helps out.
