Hey guys! what can you say about yahoo shutting down all its private rooms?
Personally, Yahoo Shoudnt shutted down the private message.. Yahooers will just use their account if their friends are online.. some of the pre-defined room are booring..

As to the topic.
I agree with it to a point, there is only so much limitation of privacy that people will take before they switch to a different service who allows the services mentioned to be used.
i use to use yahoo. but know i only use it to play yahoo pool.

Yahoo,is bad, lot s of users are beeing abused by bots looking for online users from the user list at yahoo profiles and sending some nasty offers like check my webpage out (most porn sites).I hate yahoo messenger.Only use it for e-mail as it gots 1 GB space.
I remember back in the day when yahoo messenger was the best well almost the only one other than icq i still use them both sometimes but not much for anything. I use yahoo to talk to some people who dont use aim or msn. But yahoo should never shut down private rooms or private messegers or anything along the sort. But I guess its all up to the adminstrators of the yahoo trademark. If they want to close anything or leave it. But who knows as we sit here reading what people are saying. They could be shuting down everything for good. All tho yahoo.com is one of the top stocks out there right now just a few websites accualy make it up there but thers a few of them. I just wish people would leave the yahoo messenger alone so they wont be forced to do such things like delete some things change this change that, But it wont happen because of people who like to make peoples lives hell.
I believe they shut them down Because .......they were allowing Adults to use them for porn for minors and such. I read about it .I will find the exact place and post it here. A news crew in Houston, Texas was doing a story and pretended to be childen and set up yahoo folks who wanted and did meet them for sex.......for a 1 y.o. and got a cop instead. Since all 12 times was yahoo private rooms.... ok, I promise to find and post the story.
Big deal, go pay yahoo to use there services then instead of complaining.
personally all chatrooms have gone down hill since message boards have been introduced. More people now use message boards than chat rooms. So yahoo proberly got rid of them because they were costing too much money to run

I think lots of Sites/companies are making millions of money on yahoo messenger for sure.
Oh my goodness...How many porn sites are active on yahoo.......I am getting bored of it.
I think google needs to come in Messenger with GMAIL acount..that would be great.I willnot miss YAHOO for 100% sure.

yes, predefined rooms are boring. people who used to have a established group from former private rooms have invaded those predefined rooms and now they regard it as their own. i cant find good reason why they have to close those private rooms either.

Ye, shutting it down is kinda stupid, but I like nerver use anything that has to do with yahoo, so dont really care to much.
Yeah, i personally cannot care less since most of the users nowadays most probably use Google. Chatrooms are not really popular as well. Really boring... But yahoo has great email features. So that is one plus point of course. Google is much more accurate in terms of searching the items i need. And with the Google news, man, why would i check out yahoo!?? My 2 cents worth.

I'm sure DotCom is right.. Yahoo almost certainly shut down their chatroom services for reasons of liability.. sex predators would cruise those sites looking for victims.. a lot of illicit actions were being done in their webspace
don't be too surprised if MySpace soon gets hit with some major lawsuits and has to limit their services, as well
