Hi , somebody know how I can do for play DVD's on SUSE 10.0??
TK
I would like to know as well. I just havent had time to play with it yet, but I think the problem is that there are no dvd decoders included with linux distros (may not apply to all distros of course) Probably some licensing issues or something stupid like that.
You need 3 things:
DVD drive
dvd decoder hardware
dvd decoder software
u need the any of following softwares
mplayer
xine
vlc
Use yast for installing software.

Ihave all of you put on this off corse!!
If you already have it all just stick in your dvd and play it.
When i say dvd software I mean one that supports the codecs I can only think of a windows example
Windvd. That is software that has the dvd codecs.
If it doesn't work you need to do a search on how to get the linux codecs.
You can always get yourself a 27" lcd screen and a dvd player :O
You will need to install all the required packages and libraies for you to be able to have multimedia capabilities in suse.
You will have to install the required codecs to play most multi-media files.
for a complete tutorial on how to do this go here http://www.thejemreport.com/mambo/content/view/178/42/
hope this helps
