Can anyone tell me the best digital projector on the market is? Am thinking of spending about £800. I need it to project about 5-6 metres.

wellll... There's usually good deals on used projectors on ebay, usually the bulbs are burned out, which will set you back some money (depending on the projector) up to US$300, but that's a lot cheaper than buying a new one...
look for a professional proxima projector ( i think proxima 9200) if you don't need to worry about size (of the unit). really high quality
