Sometimes when I am in the middle of the game the game screen gets minimized Why is this so?

You probably would have pressed the alt and space buttons in succession or you might have pressed the window key accidentally
Yes, I generally have the same problem and it is nothing serious. Its just a mistake you never understad. Actually as playing you press the Windows key which pops up the "start" menu and autometically the game screen gets minimised. Just be careful of that and you will have a grewat gaming............

My keyboard has two Windows keys so I actually popped the left one off the keyboard to fix the problem 
Nothing worse than being in the middle of a Counterstrike firefight and next thing you know you are looking at the desktop...gah! Alt-tab will have the same effect in most games.
