you're using javascript to protect pages?

I believe that javascript security is no security at all....however I am curious to see how you try to do it, so can I buy a page to secure?

just one will be fine, umm I guess I'll take type A or whichever one you think is most secure.

umm you can take the person back to vulcansforge.frih.net if the pw is correct, if not, take em to google. The pw page itself can just be a password field with a submit button.

I'll donate $4 when I get the script.

EDIT:
got the script, thanks, donating $4 now.

I need the path to the protected page(s), the desired password, and I need to know if you want the password field built into the gateway page, a popup window to enter the password, or a prompt to ask the password. That's pretty much it.

Oh, and what you want to happen if it's wrong.

I don't believe it's safe.

So can you setup 3 blogs, you only can post with the pass of the java script.

Everybody can see the blogs.

-blog A: posting protected with java type A
-blog B: posting protected with java type B
-blog C: posting protected with java type C

Your grammar is a bit confusing, Think, but I think you're asking for examples. If so, here they are:

Type A

Type B

Type C

Is that what you wanted?

Just for the record, Type B is the most secure. Type C is the least. The encryption level for each is only 2 at the moment, I'm currently working on my 6-level encryption system. It will make it such a pain, that to most, it won't seem worth it to try and crack Smile.

Never doubt the possibilities of javascript Wink.

Oh, I'm sorry. I can fix that real easy.

All set Wink.

The password has changed now. It's all fixed.

I also corrected the problem that they all used to accept any password. They now only take the correct one.

And I encrypted the popup window's name for type B. Even more secure.

How secure is type A? very.

http://defection.frih.net/orders/examples/exc.htm - Right click --> View source --> Find the JS code.

Quote:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="codescript.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
var epass;
var pass = unencrypt(rpass);

function setcode()
   {
   epass = prompt("What's the password?","");
   if(epass)
      {
      if(epass == pass)
         {
         window.location = "success.htm"
         }
      }
   }

</script>

Go to http://defection.frih.net/orders/examples/codescript.js -
Code:
var pswrd = "wobble"

Yep. Secure Rolling Eyes

Type B, even MORE secure Rolling Eyes

Click on the type in password thing. View source again, scroll all the way down..again, the codescript thingy Very Happy.

For type C, the best.

It's simply the same steps as type A and B.

I recommend using the Password Protection feature in Directadmin, over every other protection programs. Create a new folder, put all the stuff you want to protect in there, then press "Protect" Rolling Eyes

That's what I alluded to in my first post, but I didn't want to blatantly come out and say it. However it is notable that he added a disable right click script to it which does increase the amount of time spent getting the pw by a couple of second.

However, I do recommend buying the script for the encryption code; it could be useful for storing information in cookies or such.

I'm still working on my six-level encryption system. Still not totally secure, but like I said, it will be so secure that most would think it not worth the trouble.

I've got a few tricks up my sleeve Twisted Evil.

I just had to whip that up in a flash, I didn't expect any responses so soon.

I know I probably shouldn't have posted until it was ready, but I sometimes get impatient.
Assiez
hmm, tell me when you get everything done and I'll buy one of your finished scripts.
Blaster
Could i have type c? Just send it thourgh pm.
