The apartment complex in which I lived, in Orlando, FL, was a gated community. The gates were not manned by a guard, but were opened, for entry, by key cards that we carried. For exit, they were opened by a sensor that detected the leaving vehicle. Here is the sign that was just outside the entry gate:
Apparently, the apartment management (or the people who made the signs) thought that, since exit was the opposite of entry, that certain things needed to be reworded for the exit sign. Read it carefully and think about it:
Would that I had photos of these next ones, but I don't, and there's no way to go back to take photos:

- Similar to the Erin Brockovich one above, was the sign for our movie theatre in Southern New Jersey in 1979, which read
- Alien
- Meatballs
- Escape from Alcatraz
- Just north of Pottstown, PA, as one was coming around a curve, downhill, there was a sign that warned of incoming traffic from a local factory. The sign said, "Plant Entrance." The funny part is that, from just the right point, one could see not only the sign, but also a nursery (i.e. plant) business that was just around the curve.
this sigs is very funny

Reminds me of the sign in Fritzbie's Funtime Emporium in Fairfax, VA (long time ago - don't know if they're still there):
