build Universal Binary version of mysql administrator

ammonkc
I can't seem to find a universal binary version of mysql administrator for my intel mac. so I've been trying to compile it myself from source. But its not going very good at all. I've never really compiled source like that myself before on osx. I keep getting an error regarding other package dependancies:

Quote:
checking for glib-2.0... Package glib-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `glib-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'glib-2.0' found

configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

I tried building it in xcode also, but I don't really know how to use xcode either. the readme file seems pretty straight forward on the xcode build instructions until I get to this part:
Quote:

- set target to mysqlx and build
- set target to MySQLToolsCommon and build
- this will create MySQLToolsCommon.framework

I don't know how to set the target. I get a bunch of errors.

can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with the build. or even better, if anyone else has compiled a universal binary of mysql administrator could I get a copy?

thanks in advance
