I am going to look at this argument from both sides...well try to as I am slightly biased towards Adsense rather than Adwords as have had had very little experience with Adwords….

Here I go...
The reason I am writing this is because I am getting increasingly frustrated with my Adsense program, I recently put my website up for sale on www.sedo.com and they recommended to put a piece of code into my site to track my visitors so that potential customers could see how well the site is performing.

any way the point of this is that when I logged into the tracking program online I was quite surprised with the results, but not the of the amount of visitors but the estimated advertising revenue per day see the image below it says that I should be earning 64.97 euro per day! This works out at 78.67 USD!!!! I was quite amazed when I saw this and found it quite hard to believe as with my current advertisers (chitika) I was earning 0.18USD per day(on a good day Rolling Eyes ) this lead me to the question what am I doing wrong?

So I immediately applied for a Adsense account which I now have and my revenue has increased to around 1USD (per day) but not nearly enough, and then I noticed! The cost per click on the sedo static’s was £2 euro but my Adsense cost per click works out at around 0.11 USD per click Surprised now that leads to another question is that really enough?

Should Adsense increase there minimum price per click?
Obviously my answer would be yes as I’m not participating in the Adwords program but, I have looked into it and 3USD per click is far too much if your not selling products there for I think that the minimum cost per click should be around 0.50USD.
So what are your thoughts? Do you think that 0.11USD is too low?

Well i think adsense should increase their minimum payouts per click. There is also a lot of compitetion coming up in Contextual advertising business, so I think they shoud set a minimum per click amount which they haven't declared publically but I think it is .02$.

The cost per click depends on the keywords on your site. I think Google are correct in what they are doing, as if there are a lot of people wanting to advertise for a given keyword, there will be a high CPC, if not then it will be low to ensure there are enough adverisers for the impressions available.

Sometimes I will get US$0.01 for a click, other times it is over $3.
