I know most people won't care about this, but I found myself getting bad grades in math from 8th grade and towards the middle of my 9th grade experience. My teacher in 8th grade was off her rocker and I started to hate math. I ended up with a great math teacher in high school, but that one experience never subsided. Myself and my family lost hope in my ability to accel in math. So they were deciding to take me out of Honors Math, until I came accross Trigonometry, it really sparked my interest and I started getting much better grades. I aced almost everything after that and today Im doing much better in all subjects. So if you in a situation like that, don't give up, you will find yourself in a much better situation when you learn about something you enjoy.
