After booting my system shows low virtual memory and very slow speed. opening for application is very slow compared to other computers. So please give idea to speed up my computer.

what are your computer's specifications? what is the speed of your processor and how much ram do you have? wad operating system are u using?

Are you running out of free hard drive space by any chance?
It could be you are running out of hard disk space, as Bones says, however you often get other warnings about this also. It could be that your virtual memory settings are wrong, if you are using XP, try this:
Open System Properties (Right click My Computer and select Properties)
Click on the Advanced Tab at the top
Click on the Settings button in the Performance section
Click on the Advanced Tab at the top
Click the Change button in the Virtual Memory section
Put a dot in System Managed Size and click on Set
Click OK, you may be prompted that you need to restart the computer for the effects to take place, click OK
Close all windows and reboot.

.try increasing the amount of virtual memory u have - a good amount is calculated by 1.5 X the amount of ram u have
if that duznt work, u mite need to consider adding more ram into ur pc
thses r gud amounts of fram for decent performance (not minimum)

winxp - 512
