Inaccessible boot device problem in windows 2000 computers
Let's hope you have created "Windows 2000 Emergency floppydisk".
Boot pc with your Windows Installation CD. When prompted which action to take, choose Repair Installation, then automatic option. I quite sure you will be asked for emergency floppydisk and you don't have them. Try this procedure anyway, perhaps you are a lucky one and windows will repair itself this way.
If it doesn't boot your pc again with Windows Installation CD. When prompted which action to take, choose Repair Installation, then manual console option. You will be prompted which installtion to enter. Choose your installation and type "chkdsk /f" on the console. This CAN solve your problems. If "chkdsk /f" doesn't work, try "chkdsk /r" option.
In the worst case you will have to install windows again. I hope you have backed up recently?

Boot install cd, go to repair in console mode. then run chkdsk /r and wait to finish. reboot and that's is.
Same thing I got under XP and solve it at this way....
