Is god a slut? If i am right in thinking that you can live a naughty naughty life basically doing whatever yu want whenever you want to who ever you like then repent on your death bed and be accept into "heaven". So this would suggest that living by all these "religious morals" isnt nesesary as we can be forgiven in the flick of an eyelid?
Question
There could exist beings that work differently than the human brain, for which "vengeance" and "naughty" doesn't mean anything.
Anyway, I don't really believe in God and in Heaven
Just consider that if God exist, he doesn't need to be understood by humans, since it would probably be impossible...

You are only forgiven if you are sorry for your actions, this is called repentance. Doing something under the attitude that "I can always be forgiven" does not mean you will be.

I can totally see where you're coming from, but it misses the point, but thats because modern christanity (in general) has been missing the point of what Jesus called "the kingdom of heaven" or "the kingdom of God", which is at the heart of what Jesus spoke of.
This kingdom isn't the afterlife, its here and now, in our present reality.
Its not about dying and going to heaven, its about living and bringing heaven here.
Unfortunately, there are many who miss that.
well as an aethesit i dont believe in god, i never rerally thought about it untill ym firned creatied a piece of art depicting jesus on the cross, and people loving the debocherous life then repenting.
What if?
Seriosuly Bad guy, kills rapes steals etc etc, realises the error of his ways is genuinly sorry, does he "Get In"
Relativley good guy, pays his bills, doesnt still, doesnt do anything that bad, but one day, his wife cheats on him he breaks down mentally and kills the man, but due to his mental break down is no longer able to feel sorry du to the feelings of hate embeedded in his sould after the one he loved with all his heart betrayed him. doe he "Get In?"

Despite what it may seem, its not all about who's in and who's out. We are all beloved children of God, and Christ died for all of us, both the repent rapist theif and the good guy who snaped.
For me, and people who have similar understandings of the kingdom of heaven/god, its more about a journey than an in our out stance ("the path is narrow", "run the race set before me", etc). In your example I'd say the seriously bad guy was journeying the wrong way and then realized there was a better direction and decided to turn around.
Guy #2 is where it gets tricky. Sounds like he was journeying in the right direction, and then the situation he found himself in caused him to stop the journey. Maybe even going in the other direction. Hate sure makes us miss out on alot of the truely good things in life.
I'm more of a visual learner, and I think this idea is better understood in a diagram which I just made that for me originates in a book, I believe it was "Evangelism As Dance, Ministry in a Post-Modern Matrix", but it also might have been in "A New Kind of Christian".
the in out idea is diagram 1, the journey is diagram 2. The X in both represents God and the A,B,C are three different people. The arrows in digram 2 are like vector speeds. God is heading in one area at a certain speed (represented by the size of the arrow). The person who we originally thought was the two people we thought were closest to God are actually slowly going opposite directions of him/her/it. However, ther person we previously thought was totally out, is going toward God and God's direction faster than those going away.
When it comes to the afterlife, I'm really not all that positive as to what will happen as other "christians" are, but the afterlife isn't really the point of the Gospel (the good news of Christ).
Hope that helps to clarify, my understanding. Take care.
