Legos

I was wondering if anyone out here was a Lego fan and/or if they had any pictures they would like to share of stuff they've made. So far, all I've made is a model of the Scarab from the Halo 2 video game here. So...anybody got any opinions or stuff they'd like to show off?[/url]
Juparis
Those are some nice creations, but are they your own work, or did you have to follow a kit set? It looks almost too good to be original..

I'd be very impressed if they are.. I don't have any Halo creations myself. I haven't played with Legos for years. I was always K'nex kinda guy, cuz my buildings were so much more fun to destory. Laughing

I've played with Lego since I was 6 years old... till I was, like, 14.

I still love Lego, but I get bored of it more quickly when I'm just fiddling around with it by myself. Fiddling around with things is always better when you do it with someone else.

Read as far into that as you want. <.<

Anyways, I never really made stuff worthy of appraisal (Besides the fact that most of my creations were very stable and hard to destroy, but they looked cool). I didn't make solid blocks of Lego, if that's what you're thinking. There's stable, and then there's retarded. I still have the last thing I ever made, and it's collecting dust. I'll upload some pics when I take them.

That's pretty good my friend, assuming you didn't follow a kit set. Halo 2 was a really game btw to any one who hasnt played.

The link is broken! You're bummin me out man I was totally ready to see your LEGO creation. I used to play with LEGOs all the time from about age 3 or 4 to... Shocked I don't really remember it's been a while. They were a big part of my life for about a decade. I still have all my old LEGOs so I'll have to bust them out and LEGO battle you or something. Maybe we can get a kick ass LEGO creation thread going.

Yazz, most of my stuff was very solid as well. I'd make stuff that you could throw across the room. Wow... the memories.

Its awesome. I wish I could do something like this but how could I?I can't even solve a rubix cube myself. How am I suppose to make a product that can solve what I can't solve

Oh man. I used to play with legos all the time. I still do from time to time, at least the Mindstorms legos. I started making construction equipment, you know, tractors, different diggers, etc. Then I got into space and stuff and started making spaceships and such. I think I still have a few spaceships put together that are laying around the house, somewhere. Very Happy

Damm thats nice, Too bad I only had those jumbo sets with hundreds of pieces when I was a tod, I never could have build anything really good since they were only building blocks.

That's freggin' insane. INSANE, I say.

We need a moment of silence for the poor Legos massacred in psycosquirrel's jackass video. I'm a fan of fire and explodyness, but Legos should have been spared the fiery awesomely cool wrath.
rsheehan
Gosh Legos are so awesome. They really let you open your creative mind and play like a little kid... ending up with some pretty awesome stuff. I don't have any pictures though but some pretty cool models have been made by me.

I used to love lego's when I was little. I'm eighteen, and I still ask my mother to buy me legos theme set. Of course, I've yet to get one. And I probably won't buy it myself.

hehe, i used to love playing with lego, i remember always trying to build as tall a tower i could. I used to tape string onto it to make supports n stuff, just like a tent. I think i got to about 1 1/2 meters then my big brother jumped into it Sad. haha thats when i was a wee kid though!
Mark999111
haha i ,oved lego as a kid
LeviticusMky
Yeah, legos still play a large part in my life. I don't play with them as much, even though I still do make stuff from time to time.

More often I use them as armatures or custom constructions for my video stuff. I've even stop-motion animated some pretty neat lego movies.

I mainly used to collect the sets, but nowadays the vast amount of pleasure comes from making awesome stuff from scratch.

22 and still lovin' the legos.

I have like 5 lego trains and like a 600 feet of track. I still get lego magazine all the time.

Started building when i was like 5 and have been ever since.

Hah! I haven't played with lego in so long. It really is the perfect toy though, eh? (heh... Sophie's World, anyone?). I really feel like going out and buying some now and building something-- a castle, maybe? Razz

i hadnt played with lego for year and years but i recently got a new job wrking in the local science center and they have lego and this stuff called duplo...which is like a big version of lego...its pretty cool. its been a long time since i played with it and it brought back some memories of being very young.

strange thing is....kids seem to know all about this stuff called "kenex" ive never heard of it before but all the younger ones all use it...any of you guy know anything about this (what seems to me) a rip off of lego/mechano? how long has it been around and is it more fucn than lego...i doubt it highly though...

i played with LEGO since young, can say i grown up with LEGO.. the last time i played with LEGO is early this year.. these few years, i had been playing with robots using LEGO Mindstorms and ROBOLAB.. quite fun realli.. there are numerous competitions for it too.. don't have a picture to show though.. most of the robots i built are normal looking.. nothing unique.. Smile

I was one of those girls who use to play with her little brother's lego. In fact I use to incorporate it with my Barbies and Strawberry Shortcake characters. I use to make a lot of houses and villages with lego.
I now have the pleasure of playing with my neices and nephews and build castles and starships.
It's one of those things that will last forever and has never had to have a come-back
Juparis
Hehe, I think I was one who also played with his sister's Barbies. But not in the right way--my "soaps" always included beheading and much laughter at their faces when you squish them flat..

With legos, I once made a huge mall with a pool and a "Rainforest Cafe" replica (though poorly made). Except I had a hurricane come through and destroy it.. Ah, I wish those lego-filled nights/summers. If only I had the time nowadays.. Sad
