How to use uncommon font?

Hi...

While i am desging a site, a question poped up... how to use uncommon font?

I have seen in many site that the font they have used... my system didnt have that, so the browser askedme for a font installation to view the site properly..

How do i use same kind of script in my site to make the visitors browser to ask him/her to install the font that i have used (which will be there to download...)..

is there any such free script available... or any one can guide me on this??

I had looking for about this (I m currently searching but...) . And I had found that mozilla doesn't support that for security probleme, and that 's lag the page. (always download all the page font)

sorry i know u wont be able to read the content coz its a news paper web site in my regional language....

says a adon of the font... what it does is installs that adon font (i think)... aftet it finishes the install... i see my font directory getting few extrafonts... & i can visit the page properly read the fonts... even when i copy them to a word processor (MS word) fonts stay in the way it is in the page (no font error)... so my system downloaded that font & installed it...

this is what i wanted to know... how they do it??
