What could be Default Address for index.html file?

Dear Sir/madam
what is my default address for index.html file if my web site address is "www.lancerfootwear.frih.net" for Anchor Element.and if i make a file named logo.html in folder : "public_html/netfiles/logo.html".
please help me in this regard.

if i get you right - so for an anchor the index file can be the base url.

But if I guess, yeah, arch23 is right.

The relative ("default") URL (address) of index.html that you would use in an anchor element inside "/netfiles" would be a choice between:

"../index.html" ("parent folder's index.html" - not very useful if you move the file that contains the link),
"/index.html" ("the index.html file in the root folder" - works from anywhere), or simply
"/" ("the default page in the root folder" - which on most PHP servers means index.html, index.htm or index.php - also works from anywhere).

The public_html that you're talking about is in your browser just your domain (www.lancerfootwear.frih.net), so the folder netfiles in public_html is accessible by pointing your browser to www.lancerfootwear.frih.net/netfiles/
