Anne Rice

Anne Rice is by far my favorite. I love the Sleeping Beauty Series...if you havent read any books by her, definately read The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty. It is a 3 part series...I have yet to read the other 2, so much going on.
This is what it is about:
In the traditional folktale of "Sleeping Beauty," the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince awakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him...as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.

If anyone has the second book and or third book, i would love to borrow it to read it.

:/ I don't like Anne Rice. I don't think her Vampire Chronicle has more than a few decent books, and the only other thing of her's I was impressed with was Taltos.

I got 2/3rds of the way through "Cry to Heaven" before I gave up in disgust. @_@

Though from what I've read of the Beauty series, she does write good porn. ^_~

I ahve yet to read any of Anne Rice's erotica, but her Vampire Chronicles seriously transcend yet include reality in a way I never thought possible. I adored Queen of the Damned, even if the end was a bi tof a let down. Very Happy

And plus, what warm-blooded female can resist the charms of Lestat? Wink

I never actually liked Lestat.. I found myself much more drawn to characters like Armand & Louis. :/

oh, true, true. Hey, practically all the males, but I think it may be in my nature to like is impetuousness. But Louis is a close second, definately.

Back on topic here, I think that she also creates such perfectly flawed characters that I am endeared to each and every one!
