New Book on GIMP.

Surfing around I found out there is a new book out next month on the GIMP.

Does anyone have any feedback on it? It's by Akkana Peck.

One reason why I'm looking forward to it is (to the best of my knowledge) there have been NO books published on the latest version of GIMP (2.0+).
And in my opinion, the latest GIMP is much better and stable, especially on windows.

Any comments?

Glad to hear that a book on GIMP is out. I was planning on getting a digital camera for myself and was wondering how I would afford the use of phtoshop. Then I discovered GIMP and sine have fallen in love with it. With a book by my side it would be magic...

Your not really going to need a book for GIMP. There are plenty of online resources that should be sufficient. The book would be a waste of money if you ask me.

Same here. Plenty of reources maybe available and thats a good thing. But for some of us nothing works as good as a book. I don't think anything can replace the good old book format.
