Do I need to install anything to make ASP work here?

Erm... I don't think you can do that. Frihost is hosted on Linux servers (RedHat if I'm correct), and it doesn't support ASP. Move to a Windows-based hosting, or consider learning PHP. You may find it even better. Hm?

Oh. I was supposed to use if for a school project and wasn't planning on uploading it. Anyway, the project's done now... so no use for this topic anymore.

Also note that your web browser has nothing to do with your scripting language. Such languages (like ASP, php) only get parsed on the server side, the client (ie. your web browser) only getting html code to display.
You'll need IIS (Internet Information Service) and an editor like visual studio if you aren't planning on coding it in textpad or notepad.
