I recently ran into openlaszlo, ajax and rich internet applications. Iīm interested in the new social networks, web 2.0 phenomenon like blogs, forums, and all the "user as an active part of the website" concept. This is the scheme directing the form of our future world wide web.
What new uses could you think for this new technology?

Is openlaszlo like... a JavaScript/AJAX framework or something?
Anyways, I think that AJAX is pretty cool (although, it's not very practical if you want to get indexed by google, or if you want to have a very accessible webpage).
Currently, I'm trying to replicate a desktop (with virtual, dragable DHTML windows), complete with applications (video player, mp3 player, file browser, JPG viewer). It's all done with AJAX to open the applications and stuff like that. It's pretty neat - it could be cool if there was like a free file hosting company that used it. That's mostly what I'm aiming for: to sell it or distribute it so that people can do whatever they want with it.
