Anyone here use flash or is learning it?
Im learning how to use it, just wondering if anyone else is. And if they want to share any sites/ tutorials or just tips on here/?
I started a while back but then decided I liked other forms of animation. One day I will go back to it and learn it properly but I only edit stuff on my site with it now.
im watching the lynda.com flash8 tutorial now, its AWESOME.

im not learning flash but would like to, does anyone know where to get a cheap flash program?
Not entirely related, but if you wanted an easy way out of learning actual flash - you can try using SWiSH - it's a program that does flash like animations, but far easier to handle.
I tried learning Flash a long time ago, got frustrated, found Adobe's Live Motion and loved it. Adobe dropped it and now I am back to Flash, which Adobe just bought. Macromedia's sense of User Interfaces is bizarre and convoluted for me and many others. However, it is powerful and it is the industry standard, as opposed to say, Swish.
My one recommendation as I start to tackle and understand Flash--go slow, and get a handle on the basics. How the different objects, symbols, instances, interact- and why they are set up that way. Why and how of 'nested timelines, i.e. the main timeline, movie clip and button timelines, the ramifications of editing a symbol in it's own timeline/editing environment as opposed to editing it in the main timeline, etc. This sounds advanced, but the architecture of the program has a lot to do with being able to feel like when you do something, you get predictable results.
I have used b4 flash and director, and felt that director is easier to use. you may want to try director too...
