Did any body try , Joomla ... Mambo ... Nuke
What do you think about them and which can be more easier to use ,, which has the most features to use and can be sufficient to admin and user needs in dealing with .
thank you
I tried them all!
First I tried Post-Nuke, but I found it too ugly, and there are too many security flaws in it. So I went looking for something else.
Then I used Mambo for some time. Mambo was nice, much better than Post-Nuke, but there was a little problem: it wasn't opensource anymore. And I prefer open source software if it's possible (and the quality is high enough), and when I heard about Joomla, I installed Joomla.
Joomla is really nice, it's almost the same as Mambo, but the similarities between Mambo and Joomla will probably fade away as they follow their own road. But for know, it looks the same. The only disadvantage of Joomla is the lack of templates: there are some, but not too many.
In my opinion Joomla is the best. It has enough features, and it's easy to manage once you know how it works.

You could translate it, it isn't that hard, it is just one huge file..
I have translated it to Dutch, it's a bit work but it's worth it.
er...Mambo is still Open Source, this is directly from thier website at http://www.mamboserver.com/

PHP-Nuke is charging a nominal fee for thier latest release, but the others mentioned here are all still free...some of the themes may not be, but the CMS itself is.

I use Joomla, since version 1.0.8 it΄s even faster than Mambo because of less database queries.

But Miro International has commercialized the project, and that was the reason why some developers left Mambo and started Joomla.

i've tried them all
they are all pretty easy to install
but, nuke is my favorite... better security
better themes
overall more popular, so there are more mods avaliable etc.
thats why i use nuke

Better security? Why has Nuke a better security than Joomla or Mambo?

that may well be, but versions
Mambo v4.5.2.3-stable
and
Mambo v4.6 Beta 1
are still free and available for download at the above links. As to them changing thier Open Source designation, I haven't a clue.

My fault, I only read something vague about a discussion between Mambo developers, and because of that the project splitted. It had to do with commercialization and open-source, the Joomla-developers argued that Miro International had too much control over the project so that it wasn't really open-source anymore. Anyway, you're right.
I have read into the topic of free CMS systems, and according to what I have found, it really depends on what kind of an image you are going for. Joomla and Mambo currently give you the same image, with many (nearly all) of the same features. I did have a bit of trouble finding good templates for Joomla, but it is possible, and there are some more features than mambo. Also, most of the mambo 4.5 or later templates work on Joomla (heck...my current template is technically a mambo one) and there are a lot of those.
I don't have any experiance with PHP-Nuke or Post-Nuke. I did try wordpress but I liked joomla better.
ive tried so many CMS, dragonfly, post-nuke, fusion, joomla, mambo and e107 but overall nuke has been my favorite, mambo and joomla don't have as many mods as php-nuke and the variety for mods in nuke is much better although some mods for nuke are harder to install. Other cms don't have many theme options also, currently im using nuke-evolution wich is filled with many fetures and is very protected agaisnt hackers also it is very fast.
I use MKportal. It still seems to be small in usage, so there are little resources available for it (yet), but it is easy to install and free. It is much more user-friendly than anything else (haven't tried mambo).
http://www.mkportal.it (it's in English and Italian)
How about a totally flexible CMS unlike the ones mentioned? Coranto is a news CMS that is extremely flexible(You can use it for news, add another section to the site and another profile in coranto and a new template and you've got yourself a downloads section). All you need to do is create your site using HTML and including the txt file with your news edited by coranto(it'll show up with HTML). Nearly my entire site is powered by the CMS, and I can make it look how I want it to.
I'm the only CMS I use. Nice site made the old fashioned way...with a plain old text editor.
v1.0 still stable...no bugs...cross browser compliant...html 4.01 & xhtml 1.0 transitional compliant...backwards compatabity...all sorts of plugins & modules via PERL, SSI, Javascript & Actionscript. Nothing beats doing it yourself.
EDIT - This post is not accurate any longer, I am testing out an opensource CMS for possible use on one of my websites, but I still haven't decided if I'm going to use it or not. I still say nothing beats doing it yourself though

I had tried all above, but in these three types of CMS, nuke has the most function, the mambo has the nice template and i forgot the last one.
I like using mambo instead of the others because i have used a lot of time to study the mambo and learn how to improve it~
i think CMS like mambo, joomla, etc. is always good enough,
i have tried joomla and mambo for long time, i think its nice..
we have a good management for our website...
so we just only consider about design..
mm,. need more creativity
its me!!!
I'm not qualified to opine on the relative merits of Mambo, Nuke and Joomla, because I haven't tried them (I will, though). I used Drupal for a while once, and I didn't like it much. Just FTPing the stuff I wanted to upload would have been as easy, and I could have made changes to content and style much more quickly if I had had direct access to the server. My impression is that CMS is for non-techies so they can upload stuff without techie supervision and without screwing up a website, but techies are better off without them. Maybe after I try Joomla or Mambo, my opinion will change.
i think you should joomla because Php-Nuke is using generally and have some bugs but in joomla that support a good admin panel and technical support...Mambo was old version of Joomla don't try it because all of resourcers also have located at Joomla...But it your choice good chance...
I used all of them and i think joomla is the best!
joomla has the best balance between beauty and code and the control panel easy and amazing
php-nuke is buggy and quite slow
My current site uses Post-Nuke, which I find to work fairly well. I wouldn't use it for anything that requires extremely heavy security, because, as a few people have mentioned, it doesn't have the greatest security.
I've also done some work with Joomla and Mambo, both of which are good, but don't have as many modules (at least, that I've seen) as Post-Nuke does.
Joomla is the best, and the easiest way for making a php website.
All open source so free, very good product.

you may want to take a look at this post, it deals with demo installations of most of the available CMS's before you make your final choice
How about Limbo?
I think it's so eazy to use.
