Does Norton Anit-Virus 2004 detect security vulunerbilites??

I actually found Avast!, a free antivirus, better than Norton, and it got more virusses, so I don't really get that it's free

Unfortunately, NAV 04 does not detect vulnerabilities.
You will need to upgrade to Norton Internet Security 2006 or use Trend Micro Internet Security 06 (Pc-Cillin) to find vulnerablilities.
However, both prducts r limited in there vulnerability scana so its probably a good idea to keep up to date with all service packs, patches and to udate secuirty software regularly.

instal NOD32 and you'll be happy with this software, in fact NORTON04 is a worst antivirus i've ever seen
