live chart / graphic in php pages

anybody knows how to refresh / update a chart / graph within a php page if the chart source (database) is changed or refreshed for a certain duration of time

Sure!

You can use, if the refresh is really required, some flash charts systems.
I used one of theme that gave me total satisfaction in a complex
eShop system I developped, It works fine and the charts are wonderful!

Ajax perhaps? I havnt touched AJAX before but I think this is the sort of thing it can do (someone correct me if im wrong)
