I just got back from Spring Training. As an Orioles fan, I have to say that I hope someone gets some sense and decides to either trade Javy Lopez or keep him as a DH/backup Catcher rather than first base.
He was back on his heels on ground balls, couldn't make the throw from first to second accurately, and just did not seem comfortable. We already have Conine, Gibbons and Millar that can field the position better with the same bat. In fact, I think Gibbons is a better outfielder than Javy is a first-baseman.
It looks like fourth place again.
You need to give Javy Lopez some more time to adjust to the position. Either way. the Orioles aren't going to win the division or come close. The Blue Jays are a lot better this year and the Red Sox and Yankees are great as usual. Yankees will win it again. Red Sox will be second, Blue Jays third, Orios fourth and Devil Rays last.
