Well, it seems that I have to shut down this store as I think that I should develop a few templates and learn some more programming languages like XML and ActionScript, so till then, this store shall remain closed. Sorry guys.....

Well, I don't have a portfolio or anything of that sort. But I plan to make a templates page on my Site in the near future.

Sure, you can, but, at least post the details and a rough sketch here so that I gett to know what you want, for example, what you want writen, which images you want, what kind of animation do you want, etc.

right - sounds good... however with music id have to get permission before i use the artists track - which would be done quite easily and kinda quickly

Well, I really don't get what you want.....What is it that you need? If you need any help in XML, I'm not the person to ask... Hey, how much would you charge me to make a flash movie, that displays a .txt file in a blank area, and to the left has categorys that when you mouse over them they create a drop down menue that unfolds to the left of that and when you select one of the items in the sub-cat. then it displays it in the main thing (all files will be .txt) and at the bottom a link that says HOME and l can just put a url in there, l will pay extra to have it done soon, l don't need any special graphics, but l do need the .fla file and the text does need to be scrollable and not selectable. PM me w/ a reply to this, l need it very soon and have alot of Frihs

Well, you can't put .txt files in a flash movie but I can put the text you want in a textarea or something like that if it is okay with you. I'll charge 25FRIH$ for it and there's onem ore thing: I don't get exactly what you want in the menu. Do you want a vertical menu like the one I have on my Site? Click Here to see how it looks.

and by the way, that is a horizontal l do need a vertical, and l can decorate it, l just need a layout (vertical=up and down, horizontal=left to right )
Just make me a menu that is vertical and has no text decoration or anything, just make two links that say test and test2, make it so when you mouse over each of them, they will expand to the left and have two lisztings in each with test names that when you click on them summons the .txt documment into the text area, l am sure there is a way to do this. | assex wrote: |

Yes, a scroller. The values will be read from the XML included in the spec.
If you haven't looked at the spec, then I suggest you do so to get an idea
of what is required.
I have a PHP script to build the XML. I want the scroller to read the XML
and scroll according to the data in the XML.Ok, let me tell you what l have going on, and you can help me out w/ it. l have a dynamic text field that looks for the vars "sg_header" for the header, and the var "sg_text" for the actual text of the document, l have tested this out, and it works fine, l have an action script loading a document to the movie in the place that it looks for the vars, here is the code for that loadVariables("file.txt", _root); This does work, however, what l want is something like loadVariablesNum(sgtxt, _root); where it will load the vars from whatever currently takes the place in the var of "sgtext" . Following along so far?
Alright, then l need just a basic menu on the side for now, l can make it fancy later, it needs to be up and down, and have three things in it, "Worlds", "Worlds Revisited" and "Extras". When you move the mouse over any of these three catagories, it will expand to the left and give you more options, there are a ton of these so l will not name them here, but just make two in each one, that when you select it, it will post the var "sgtext" and tell the actionscript that this is the file to load the vars from.
Thats really the tricky part telling the script to load the vars from the document you select, can you do this?
And also, l need the dynamic text field to scroll, this shouldn't be hard, l have just been too pre-occupied with fixing the main part to find it.

Mr Basketball, I fully understand what you want - a double scroler with a Division panel that keeps scrolling horizontally and a match pane that scrolls vertically....but....I cannot create something that will keep on changing....unless you can change the values yourself. Flash isn't something like HTML where your movie can keep changing....so, you cannot mix XML (which I have no clue about) with Flash like that. You cannot just make something that changes every time you change some external file. So, if any problems have been caused by me saying this, I'm sorry. Please tell me your final decision of what you want. Do you want to stick with that DHTML scroller that is easily changable or create a Flash one which is changable but not that easily......
well... l do still need a good menu system. Can you do that? lt just needs to be up and down, with a few links so l can get the format down (l wouldn't dream of making you write in the like 50-80 links l need ) about 700px tall, and when you mouse over the first item, it will expand and have a few links that will be scrollable once they get past the length of the file. But i hat ur template on ur site it is hard to read and that logo NO way

coz if you do i'd like you to make 2 for me....
the sites have to be completely out of YOUR imagination.. it should not be a copy of any other site..
for both sites use a nice combination of dark colors to make it look like a gaming site. e.g dark grey can go with a shiny blue makeover...maybe...
make sure that both sites are different frm each other.......
its not nesecary that the sites are completely in flash... rather i prefer that you make them in photoshop or any designing program you use and then give it touches of flash... like the header, buttons, footer, and some other animation to bring up a gaming mood...
so if your ready to do it PM and give me the deatils of how long will it take and what will be the cost...
P.S. If you reject to do the work after i rote in so much details..... I'll KILL YOU.....lol
