That WAS the point of Life

One of Gods commandments: Adam! Eve! Eat, populate(think about it) and just enjoy life. This is why I really hate the Devil.
Gieter
Mmm, I guess that will become boring too. I'm bored now, although I have all kinds of entertainment (PC, TV, girlfriend,.. Rolling Eyes), I have lots of food...

I don't believe in the Genesis, and since I don't believe in the Devil, I can't hate him.

What does the devil have to do with anything?
Gieter
Well, the devil came into the form of a snake and seduced (don't know if it's the right verb) Eva to eat from the Tree of Wisdom (loosely translated from Dutch), and because she (and eventually also Adam) ate from that tree, they were no longer allowed to be in the Garden of Eden and they were set in the real world. There were also some other consequences. Good, old days. Wink

*nods* thats Why I blame Satan. nice start for us thou.

So why do you blame satan? Would you rather live a life of plenty, but know nothing or a harder life but have knowledge and be able to make your own decisions - such as whether to believe in god. They say "innocence is bliss," but is it? And even if it is, is it worth it?

I believe the phrase is ignorance is bliss. And I agree with you. It's much better than living a life of wisdom and pain to greet the maker in heaven afterwards. I'm actually not a Christian, and don't believe the Genesis word for word, but there has to be a better meaning to life than live and let die.

There's too much in this world that makes things work and keeps us going to just be coincidental. Something must be making us go and keep going as long as we are. That's the reason that there's religion, and that's the reason I'll keep looking for an answer.
