this is thread for roleplaying gamers,

there are a number of good generic pen&paper games out there - so the question is not so much what to play but rather where to play. also with a good GM the rules are only a fraction of the game experience.

so what's your favorite "gamingworld" ? anything from dragonlance to B-movies, ice-age to star trek...

a small description about what's so special about your world and why you like it would be nice. I'll just post an example.

humanity explores space, so far we can reach pluto in a number of month. interstellar travel? no way, we need to go faster than light for that - or do we?

the v.i.s.t device is a interstellar mattertransporter which is still under development. everyting inside the device transportsphere will switch place with everything in the targetarea. It sounds quite similar to stargate, but: the device consumes so much energy it can only be activated once every 36 hours, it can only be activated from earth and there ist no radio contact to the away team.
the scenario ist roughly based on the "commander perkins" books which i loved as a kid.
