I guess wilderness canoe tripping is a hobby, but it just seems odd to me to describe it as such. I have the good fortune of living in one of the last vast wildernesses of the world, namely Canada, and I take advantage of it whenever I can. I have my own canoe and camping equipment and I just love finding those places where nobody else ever goes. I have taken many people in on various trips and I even go in on my own some times So far I've only travelled through much of Ontario and Quebec, but I hope to get out west at some point and even up to the North West. This summer I'm hoping to head out for at least a month and perhaps do a little panning for gold. Anybody else out there who's got the bug? I'd be glad to here about your experiences.
