Are there any Delphi programmers in here?

Wynand
Hi, are there any Delphi programmers in here?

I want to start a little project, but it is too big for me. The main aim is to make something useful that will make a lot of money.

We can do something small at first just to know get to know each others working procedures.

The more people we are the bigger the project can be. Post here to sign up and give me ideas…

You can have a look at my Delphi program at www.DuToitApplications.frih.net

Concretely, what is this application supposed to be ?

I'm a Delphi developper, and actually I'm already working on a project that makes a lot of money... but it isn't something simple Wink

Cool, what are you working on? You, or your company?

If you want, you can have a look at my program for guesthouses written in Delphi. It’s on my website.

Please tell me what you think of it... and if you think I only know the basic stuff of Delphi? Smile

You still haven't answered my question.

I have been using Delphi since v1 and love it.

I have a project in mind but I would think that it is a little over your
head, but if you'd like to get involved, PM me.

It is a 2-way designer for a programming language that I will not mention
here. This designer will allow the user to develop a system visually and
also be able to switch to code-view.

I have some basics already designed and have not yet begun coding. The
design process is probably going to take <> 1 yr and then the coding
of the tool should take about 9-12 mos.

There are NO OTHER applications like it on the market today! I have
searched EVERYWHERE. This designer would probably be sold at around
$495.00 per copy as that is the cost of similar products, I can't go into
details about the similarity of these products to mine.

Of course and NDA would be in effect for anyone getting involved.

Wow, this is an old post. Well let's revive it. I recently aquired a developement job in a huge company(Fortune 500) and my department uses Delphi7 in a lot of it's process'. I Love it! It's very robust, predictable, and stable. I'm a new developer and don't understand why this language is not more popular than it is. Can anyone offer any thoughts?

No idea at all, you forgot that is has the nicest code of just about all the other mayor languages.

Btw I'm making games to it using Delphi Explorer And Asphyre Casual. A very nice FREE solution for making games that work on older computers too.
