Which Linux distro to use?

Currently I'm playing with Gentoo, but I'm a n00b to linux, and need some advice. I'm currently trying to resize my damn NTFS partion, stupid XP. Which version of Linux can keep the FBI off my computer the best, but is reliable and convenient at the same time? Thanks for your inpu!

SuSE is the best of the distros I've experimented with.
For resizing a NTFS partition, I would use a seperate utility. (Linux support for that is spotty at best.)
