PostgreSQL and Oracle comparison

i would like to which one is better database.

...so you can choose which one to get? If you are rich, Oracle, of course. But if cost-effectiveness means anything to you, PostgreSQL (or MySQL) is your way.

I've used both databases extensively. From what I have seen, PostgreSQL is modeled after Oracle - the basic features and syntax of each are very similar (i.e. views, stored procedures, schemas). Oracle has better extended features (supplied stored procedures, nicer outer join syntax, etc.), and its procedural language (PL/SQL) is easier to develop in (imho) but is harder to install and use. There is now a free version of Oracle's latest database (10g) - check it out at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/xe/index.html

This should give you the opportunity to install and evaluate both.
