would i be violating any frihost rules if i put guitar tabs on my site?
guitar tabs on my site?
i dont think you would
none of the mods said no
so yeah it must be ok
so yeah it must be ok
They didn't say yes either.
I would say wait for a mod or bondings to answer. Don't lose your account over somthing silly.
i think it depends, guitar tabs are property of their respective owners, you should always state that it is not your work but the work of the artist that made the song
I'm sorry, but it isn't legal to put guitar tabs on your website. A lot of website owners are getting sued for putting them on their websites.

Maybe they have a license. If not, then they might get sued. And not just a bit.
There are currently plans for componies offering licenses for lyrics/guitar tabs for 2-5$ per thousand views. And I heard about a lot of sites having to shut down. They are really exagerating in this case.
it would be okay if i got permission from the author, right?

Yes, sure.
