I've actually found that other zones are better than un'goro. Un'goro is nice, granted, and the addition of devilsaurs if you're able to solo them is also nice. Just that too many of the mobs there give thick more often than rugged.
I prefer winterspring and silithus, although, the mobs there give other types some of the time. Bears in winter give warbear leather, which doesnt seem to sell too well. Cats in winterspring give frostsaber leather, and they're gonna be camped like mad come 1.10 anyway. Scorps in silithus give decent amount of rugged, but also have heavy scorpid scales a good bit of the time.
My brother said he found eastern plaguelands to be the best, killing bats, hounds and just for larval acids, kill the grubs while you're in between leather droppers. Not to mention, evil bat eyes for darkmoon faire tickets (also good to do silithus for that as well)
Also of note, my highest level world drop purple came off a frenzied plaguehound, got me an elemental magestaff off a 58 once =P
