Correct IP to use?

In the private message sent to me on joining, I was told to use 216.32.85.170.

"

However, for some reason I cannot get a working route to that ip address. With a tracert I get:

Now, if I instead use 216.32.85.171, I can get a working route. When I changed my dns settings for my domain to 216.32.85.171, I could resolve my domain name and get into the control panel. I don't know if the index.html will work however, as I was having some difficult testing it earlier on the different ip. And in addition, that isn't the ip address I was told to use in the private message sent on joining. So in short, which IP should I use?

Both 216.32.85.170 and 216.32.85.171 should point to the server.

http://216.32.85.170/~frih/
http://216.32.85.171/~frih/

As such, both http://216.32.85.170/~[yourusername] and http://216.32.85.171/~[yourusername] should work. Just try it, and see if it does.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the alternate IP and it worked for me.

I have also taken my laptop to another network, and at that location can get to both ip's - therefore the routing issue preventing me from accessing *.*.*.270 is definitely on my end - using freedom2surf ISP in the UK.
