All gospels should be public. They are part of the religious context and everybody should be aware of them and being able to decide with the guidance of the church. There are some facts hidden in this writtings that may help understand the nature of the bible and the religion itself

I thought that these gospels had been published already. The text contained within the "dead sea scrolls" has already been publicly released.

Has anyone got a fruther story on this? There are a lot of accounts of Jesus' life, very few are of the same detail and time span of the original four though. I have to wonder what this will add.

All gospel writings are somewhat suspect anyway, since there is no way to verify the person who wrote them is the very same person who accounted for the story. It's thought that the 4 accepted gospels were only ever written down until about 300 years after the death of Jesus!

It would make sense. You'd think more than 4 people would write about the Son of God.

There are other gospels than the ones accepted in the bible, the gospel of Judas being one.
See:www.earlychristianwritings.com/gospeljudas.html

In fact, the bible was not compiled until hundreds of years after Jesus' death and is composed of Gospels that were not written until decades after his death. When you get right down to it, the bible is a book that was put together by politics as much as a desire to inspire people to a belief in God. Check out www.bidstrup.com/bible.htm
