So i created 'seniorproject.com' in DirectAdmin - do i need to already own this domain somewhere else and set the dns data, or will it appear as a subdomain or even as a regular .com? not sure if this hosting is capable of that...i dunno...server illiterate, i suppose...
Creating domains in DirectAdmin
You would need to buy the domain from a registrar then configure the DNS servers to point to Frihost. You could get a bit more information and recommended domain name sellers in the Domain Names forum.
As Animal said, you need to first buy the domain. There's lots of places that sell domains, including DomainSite and NameCheap.
Once you've registered the domain, you need to point it to FriHost's DNS servers, ns1.frih.net and ns2.frih.net. Finally, add the domain on to your account, using DirectAdmin. You'll need to wait 4 - 24 hours for the DNS to update, but after that, your domain should be working
