Xitami help needed, please

Has anyone ever installed it? I'm in the process of doing so & i've come across a problem straight away. It says in the documentation that I have to create 2 files to do with passwords in order to be able to run it. I've created those exactly as described but it still won't let me in. I keep getting "Invalid username or password" messages.
What it doesn't say in the doc is where those files need to be created. I've assumed it's in the Xitami root directory.
Another question is about what it says to put in the files. It says to protect a folder you need to add an entry of the form
[/foldername]
username=password

Now, where it says I have to create the initial file it says I have to add
[/admin]
admin=password

That infers there should be a admin folder, but there isn't.
Has anyone got even the slightest idea where I'm going wrong?

OK, I've put my massive intellect to good use again & solved the problem. Laughing

If anyone else wants to install Xitami on their XP-based PC, bear this in mind - ignore what it says in the FAQ about passwords. Well, don't ignore it... but the examples it gives are wrong. Maybe they're for a different type of installation; I don't know. Anyway, in the defaults.aut file, don't put [/admin]. Put [/app] instead.
Now I've just got to figure out what the hell the rest of it is all about Confused
