Password Protection

Northgatebaseball
Hey,

I have put up a website for my HS baseball team. The coach does not want the stats to be avaiable to everyone, because he does not want other teams to go on and see who is doing well at the time. Right now, I have the whole site protected, with only one username/password. Is there a way where i can only block certain pages, and have each person have their own individual login/password. (perhaps the same that they have on the forums on the site)

You would need a php script that you would include to check if the user is logged in at the top of each protected page.

You would need to use sessions or cookies to do this.

I suggest your search google for php user management tutorials.

You could also protect a directory with a password and put the pages that should be protected in that directory.

Or use some content management system where the stats are only available to some users.
