Like the topic title says, all of the pre-installed files have absolutely bamboozled me. I just want a regular account that has simple subdirectories ex: www.me.frih.net/subdirectory and I'm really confused about the /domain and the /ftp and all of that stuff. I've looked around and I really don't see how I use this. Can I just delete all of the preinstalled files, or are they crutial to my web account?

Put all your files and directories in the public_html folder. The files that are included with your new hosting account are required for your email and ftp accounts etc. so don't delete them.
