I use and can highly recommend 1&1 for domain names. Only £1.99 per year for .co.uk, .me.uk and .org.uk

Usually there's a 2 year minimum period, and VAT is charged in addition to the fee, but you still get a domain for £4.68 for 2 years.

the customer service of 1and1 is very good too.

id also recommend www.heartinternet.co.uk as they give free 250Mb hosting and it can support PHP, Mysql etc...

Only in the US and Canada I guess.
They have a very stringent check up process to see if you are in the US

Yes they are. The only problem is that you have to give out a credit card number.

Yahoo!s offer is over, thoughg still available over some 'refferal' links. Also, 1&1 is only available to customers in Uk and USA!

Nope, 1&1 have several international sites. Have a look at their international site: http://www.1and1.org/

It's not quite Global, but there are sites for a bunch of countries there.
