Okay, surely people here have watched it since it's like the hottest thing right now. I personally thought it was amazing, but stopped watching at about episode 80, and i know i'm way behind now. but from what i hear the story arch isnt so great now anyways. although i understand that it's necessarily, i really hate animes htat flood you with filler episodes and flashbacks from the same episode or the last episode jsut to kill time. also it's funny how if you watch enough, you can tell when the good artist or the bad artist comes on, sometimes there's really crappy animation or the characters look out of wack etc.

I am myself listening to Naruto. Where I live, it plays like once a week so I just saw the serie until I think 25th episode. But I agree, everybody remember all the episodes just on the bridge : I calculated and it makes 4 hours

I used to hate Naruto...thought it was really quite boring, but my sister made me watch it...now I really like it. I'm only on episode 50, but I have really liked the show so far.
i have all 176 Ep's so far its bean prity good im just iritated about the 59 fillin Ep's well i guess the main story will pick up soon again i hope
I have watched them up till now also and those fillers are freaking boring. I think its only around 7 more fillers though. If they don't get back on the story after that I quit watching it. The manga doesn't have the fillers though does it. Because , I saw one about kakashi's past and shows how he got the sharingan eye and I still haven't seen that on the anime yet.
I totally stopped watching after the fillers started. I saw a few and they were stupid. I'm up to date with the manga, but I'm still not sure yet if I should start watching agian once the fillers stop.

I really, kind of, like fillers from time to time. Like in FMA(the one with warehouse 13 <3 )...but from what I heard about Naruto's fillers...bleh.
Yap, the Anime is crappy I think, I prefer reading the manga.

I saw roughly the first season before it was licensed in the States. Frankly, that turned out to be all that I wanted (and could) see of it. ^-^; As for the manga, I've been reading it as it comes out each week in Weekly Jump, but not as devoted as before.
I'll definitely agree - for a TV series, the flashbacks that occurred in battles were a pain to watch - especially if you knew ahead of time what was going to happen. The small changes that I remember seeing were all right, and I did hear the current filler arc wasn't very good. However, it seems that episodes that are merely there for humor and nothing else do pretty well (I think it was episode 101?).

XD; I haven't heard the dub yet (I don't have cable or some service where I can receive Cartoon Network), but I've heard it argued as both a good and bad dub. But then again, I'm partial to saying it's bad because of what I've heard about Naruto's catch phrase being changed to "believe it!"
I personally never get to watch the shows but i have read all of the mangas up to chaper 293 so i know a lot and the mangas dont have all of the fillers and flashbacks and stuff.

yeah its pretty cool, my friend lent me like 100 episodes and i watched it all. Its pretty interesting sometimes but it gets boring and repetitive.

I'm still following the manga, and I can't wait to see some of the stuff that's been happening there on color and animated. im here in the Philippines and my boss lives in the US. when he heard im crazy about Naruto, he became crazy too. He actually both full eps of Naruto, and everyday he change his display icons with Naruto characters. Our world stops when the series started. By the way, is it true that the voice behind Naruto is a woman?

Yepp actualy she is not really a woman she's still a kid 7 or 10 or somting like that if my memory is correct.but thats not unusual that girls gets to be the voice for young boys in anime. Bart simpsons voice is also made by a girl
I'm sorry everyone, I know you are going to hate me but I mean in my opinion it's another DBZ. It's getting caught up in all of the hype. Really it's not the anime but the fact that I hate Cartoon Network for ruining animes. if you watch the Japanese ones they are a lot better than the english dubbed ones (plus they are free and legal because they are fan subs) just go to any fan sub site that has them and download them with bitcomet. I mean personally i can't stand to watch it because it's going to have like over 150 eps and really i don't care at all.
For the fansub watchers the fillers(according to episode titles) will end at episode 182. The wait is over!

Actually I don't think there is anything illegal about downloading japanese material and watching it in North America, the only place that it is illegal is in japan. Downloading the dubbed episodes however is illegal.

That is so true. @_@ No matter where you are, fansubs are illegal, and that's demonstrated easily through how many groups have been busted and were threatened to be sued by companies 'cause they were caught in the act.
@Rsam - it's not just legal in Japan - it's legal practially everywhere in the world (if not everywhere). Fansubs have always been illegal, but when a series is licensed (especially in the US), there's a higher chance of getting sued.
Naruto has always been licensed, too, as discovered recently by various anime news sites. Since Viz is a sister company to Shueisha, they already are entitled to the rights of the Naruto anime. It's just that they don't come out officially like other companies have done.
I might be wrong (or probably am) in some of my facts, so if anyone'd like to correct me, feel free to. @_@

I actually like the fillers, it kind of gives you a sense of their everyday life. I mean not everyday is a life and death fight right?
Besides, I like naruto and hinata getting close. Naruto is so clueless, reminds me of goku and chi chi, as well as the interaction between members of different groups. wonder if naruto ends up with sakura though...bec sakura does eventually show feelings for naruto...

2) in the last major naruto and sasuke battle, they were throwing each other around like saiyans, when they should physically be like humans, and yet, it was like nothing to be thrown into a mountain. COOL fight though...

im just glad that naruto didn't turn out to be a major tradegy like what they did with one piece. That was just sad... major battles with no blood or cursing?!! WTF?!!!

What I really hate in the anime is that as it is to advanced relative to the manga, they add useless missions that brake the ruthm of anime.

While I agree that some of the fillers are slow, you always have the option to skip them! at the beginning of every episode, there is a message saying how many weeks/episodes are left before the main plot returns. If you filter out the fillers and watch the plot, it is just as good, the few things that you miss, you can figure out by yourself.
Naruto also happens to be the most dynamic and most in-depth and well-explained anime I have yet watched. The only other anime that I think is up to par is FMA. Although it is completely different FMA is good but even FMA doesnt explain alchemy as well as Naruto explains jutsu.
If you aren't interested in keeping up with the anime, the manga is also amazing. It is straight plot, no fillers, and surprisingly enough, it is just as engaging.

Naruto really has a lot of filler episondes... It's funny and moving but after like 150 something I stopped watching... It does get repetative and sorta boring but i'm sure it's fine seeing the number of people who watch it >>

140th or 150th episodes are fillers, it just makes manga catch up with the movie.

For example, they started animating Full Metal Alchemist before the manga was done and, consequently, the anime and manga storylines completely break away from each other.
Most of the Naruto filler isn't particularly good, but there has been some decent stuff; the recent filler arc with Hidden Star Village wasn't too bad, though it doesn't beat real plot-type episodes. The way I look at it is, at least the Naruto filler is better than the Dragonball Z filler. (19 episodes for the Frieza fight, anyone?)

Hi to everyone, well this post has nothing to do with the episodes, it is just ideas that I have about the Naruto endings, well as we know Naruto is realesing epidose 185 and again it is a filler too, but the manga is going for the number 307, well I have thought that Naruto will be a HOKAGE but he will die trying to save his country, also Sasuke has acquire a great power i think that for some reason Itachi left him alive bc the main charactet of his organization which i think is his best friens that is supposed to be death is the leader, and since Itachi knows that he cant deal with him he left sasuke alive back then when itachi killed of the member of his village, for sure the 5th is going to kill Orochimaru and or sasuke will kill it trying to save Naruto. thats is what i think, i know that it is strange but it is what bother me...lol

The manga is generally better than the anime, but there are certain bits that I like anime-verse rather than manga-verse just because they work better with literal motion, not implied motion.
The thing about that is that it's all a matter of perspective. For example, the Mona Lisa is world famous, but not everyone likes it. It isn't that Kishimoto's drawing sucks, but that you don't like his style of drawing. I'm sure there are people out there who think that the drawing style of your favourite manga artist-- whoever that may be-- sucks. It's all relative. There's isn't an artist out there that absolutely everyone likes.

Episode 186 of the anime just came out today (well, sort-of-yesterday for Japan), and chapter 308 of the manga is due out this Friday in the Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga is much further ahead timeline-wise than the anime, because of all the anime fillers.
I used to watch a lot of naruto when if first started, now i have abandoned the show completely.It is getting tiresome and normal episodes look like fillers to me since there is no point for thier existance.The company that had bought the license is known for its money-loving policy and does not have problem to take animes and make it in 800episode series untill thier popularity drops to 0.The same company bought the rights for Bleach as well, and am afraid that Bleach will end up like Naruto did.

uhhh, i think they're different. They're living in the Western side, after all. So I'm not too sure if they have japanese channels there We have access in jap channels in here (Philippines) as well as some other asian channels because perhaps we're living in asia?? I dunno *shrugs*

I got into the anime about 2.5 years ago. At the time I was a freshman in college. I had never really got that much into anime before this show. My roommate at the time started watching the first 50 episodes then. I went from being annoyed with him always watching it, to slowly paying attention to it, finally as he got to about episode 30, I said "FINE! Just send them to me." And I've been hooked ever since.
I started following the Manga about the 89 mark. Basically I wanted to know what was going to happen. That being said, the manga is still a great sotry. I'm alwayson the edge of my seat, but the ARCs in the anime are just making my lose all respect for this show. If I wasn't anticipated the return to the storyline so much I wouldn't still download it every Wednesday. I wish they'd go ahead and just licence the escond "series". It's so infuriating.

Well, 135 is the last manga-based episode, and then the filler starts. The first couple filler arcs are actually fairly decent as filler goes, and worth watching, especially if you have nothing to do, but they aren't great.
Personally, I'm watching them anyway, just because. Especially since I got the second Naruto movie. (It has Gaara! And Kankurou! YAY! But no Temari, which is weird as all get-out.) It should hold me over until the filler stops. Which is hopefully soon.

i am watching ep 119 now who is this white-haired guy?
With the huge hair and dressed in red and grey? That's Jiraiya, one of the Sannin (him, Orochimaru, and Tsunade). He was trained by the Sandaime Hokage when he was a genin, and he trained the Yondaime Hokage when he was a Jounin. He's a great character. ^_^ I love Jiraiya, he's hilarious.

He has a really cool bloodline limit - he can manipulate his bones. He can make them really hard, or shoot them from his body or rip his spine out to use as a sword.

I'm not sure what you mean, because Kimimaro and Gaara are completely different, but if you think that it's just going to be an endless stream of stronger and stronger people between Naruto and Sasuke-in-a-bucket, then you're wrong. You're getting fairly close to the end of the manga-based episodes and the beginning of the filler.

I'm at episode 140 and I'll just continue watching... though the fillers aren't that cool, I still think they're enjoyable to watch.
My favorite characters are Kakashi, because he's so laid back and cool, and Rock Lee, because his hard work for improvement reminds me of myself.

Lee is one of those characters that a lot of people don't like because he's kind of silly sometimes, and I find a lot of girls don't like him because they don't think he's as good looking as most of the other male characters.

Loved the manga, hated the anime. It screws everything up, and the battles are *extremely* slow. The anime doesn't follow the manga at all in the later episodes - for me, watching Naruto anime is painfully arduous and boring. And so damn repetitive.
I like the anime, yes the fight sequences are slow but they have to talk or else it'll just be *shutter* DBZ where it's simply flashes of light and explosions.
I definitely have to agree with fangfox gere; at least we haven't (yet) had ten episodes for "five minutes" of supposedly actual time. Goku vs Frieza fight, anyone? *cringes*
*snorts* why would they not love Lee? is it just because of the looks and the cheesy lines? I like him, his character is strong (im not talking about physical strength here) and he's really, really nice.
Anyway, I have the recent copies of the anime but I got lazy on watching the fillers so I found myself slowly gravitating toward the manga. Now I only read the manga and maybe will go back to the anime again if the canon story is back.
I have not completed the DBZ series (and I have no plans to) but yeah, the fight is rather long but I enjoy the technical aspect. Even though the characters are off-model sometimes, the foreshortening and the poses are good, and I enjoy picking out those things and making fun of their mistakes so I never realize that its actually long. I'm talking about the Valley of End fight. (That's me and my animator side speaking ) But on the other things, I really, really dont mind the fight, I like action and fightings and the unique fightings in Naruto amuses me. The only fight scene I have a problem of is the Valley of End one.

I'd rather they just not play any fillers and concentrate on working on the real actual story so that it can be finished faster than making pointless fillers that have no purpose whatsoever.
I can't wait till the fillers are finally over. But for now, at least I have Bleach to watch. Haha.

Well, the reason for the filler is so that the manga can get far enough ahead in the actual stoyline than when they start animating the actual story, it doesn't take only one season for the anime to catch up to the manga and they have to put more filler on again.
It does actually make some amount of sense, when you think about it; one big batch of filler now so that they won't have to do as much filler later on.

I don't like the anime as much as the manga. Usually it's the other way around, with the action and all that, but I think it's because I started the manga before the anime. The show follows the manga very closely and I think I get a little ... not bored, but I feel like I've already seen everything. I guess that's not a bad thing in itself, since it stays true to form.
I have seen every Naruto episode made. there are about 80-90 good ones. too many fillers but its a great story. i really hope it starts getting back to the real story soon. db subs them all so check em out
Please don't take these words to me too seriously because I'm not sure myself. On some other forum (GameFAQs), some guy had in his signature that LeafNinja.com reported that after Naruto Movie 3 is released, the anime will be back on track starting with Kakashi Gaiden. However, I checked LeafNinja.com and couldn't find anywhere that mentions that part.

There have been two Naruto movies released for far-- Furious Action! The Snow Princess Ninja Chronicles, and Furious Clash! The Phantom Ruins in the Depths of the Earth!-- with the third movie, Great Excitement! The Animal Riot of Crescent Moon Island, slated for release in Japanese theatres on August 5th, 2006.
As far as the rumour that following the release of the third movie, the filler episodes will end, I can only hope. I do know that the third movie is supposed to be the last one during part one of the series, but I don't know for sure about the ending of the filler following it's release.
I don't know where the guy on GameFAQs got that, because as of right now LeafNinja.com is reporting filler episodes at least up until #199, which will be showing August 30th. I wasn't able to find anything concerning a projected end date for the current filler arcs.

Actually, that's why they are called fillers. The story hung up and some random crack!episodes that does not have any necessary relation to the story at all appears. The second season will start on what they have left on the original story (Naruto is going with Jiraiya to train for 3 1/2 years)

*blinks. Wow. I wish I could say that. I get over with the stereo anime fan thing years ago. But yes, its a pattern that whenever the character is a bishonen/bishoujo, he/she must be thoroughly loved.

I have 1-135. A friend of mine gave them to me at work, the series is quite addicting. I am on 36 now, the main thing that annoys me is that the episode starts 5 minutes or so after the video begins; all before that is background from the last episode and the theme thing...

Well i myself have only seen until episode 10 only Subbed which can be downloaded from the internet. I think Naruto is a good Anime but they are just running out of episodes. If youve seen one of the latest episodes (That has been Subbed) it sais everyone goes on a mission but Uzumaki Naruto himself has no reason to go. So you see it just cant hold up itself. Bleach is something else. It really hasnt got hot yet but when it does there will be nothing stoping it. Naruto is in the UK in episode 20 and in the Usa around 100. In the USA it shows on Cartoon Network and in the UK on Jetix.
Everything since episode 136+ has been filler. They actually have a bunch of material left for new, manga-based episodes, but they haven't started doing them yet because they want the anime to get far enough ahead that they won't catch up to the manga in one season.

Im told bleach is very good, and i know people who prefer it very much so to naruto. Im on episode 100 atm, and most say the series really goes down after 120/130. After i catch up with naruto, il have to look into bleach . Anyway, atm naruto is actually really gripping. Il be watching it for 3 hours at a time, thinking iv only been watching for 1 hour!! if i had better internet, i would DL the eps and watch them full screen, but i have to watch them small and laggy over youtube >.<! Naruto just managed to plant the resengan on Kabuto . I saw both the movies before hearing of resengan, and i was like "wtf?!" xD. i hope it doesnt get as bad as people say it does. To all the people whov seen up to 195, does it really fall down that bad?

You're around episode 100, which means "THAT" part of the series is coming up. That'll be the biggest turning point of the entire story so far, which I won't comment much on since I don't know if you're aware of what's coming next. At any rate, it's gotta be one of the top moments of the whole series. Anyway, after THAT event happens, if you're reading the manga, there's supposed to be a "jump" and the story progresses 2 and a half years. On the other hand, the anime is delaying that time jump by inserting episodes with small missions that rarely last more than 3 episodes. Mostly, the missions/stories aren't all that special, so after a while it starts getting old. Many "huge fans" of Naruto already quit watching the series, hoping for the day it catches up with the manga again.
I'll just tell you this: The last episode of Naruto that has ANYTHING to do with the manga is episode 135. After that, it's just filler episodes. At that point you might want to continue watching the series or not, it's up to you. But my advice is to start reading the manga and see what really happens next, after those 2 and a half years. For one, at this moment the manga is 5 times better than the series, and the story is actually progressing.

Unfortunately that rumor is only a rumor as LeafNinja has reported filler episode titles beyond the release of the third movie. That rumor came to be when it was officially announced that the third movie will be the last movie for Naruto Part 1, but that only means there will be no more movies. And for all we know the next movie will be out in four more months which would make Naruto Part 2 debut in December/January-ish.

Yeah, like I said, the "filler eps stopping with movie three's release" thing was a rumour, and wrong based on the official episode titles from LeafNinja.com

Naruto anime fillers will come to an end with Episode 199 of the Japanese Naruto anime series, and the much awaited Kakashi Gaiden will air starting on Episode 200 and go through to Episode 204, and Part 2 of the Naruto series that has been over a year in the making will air with Episode 205. The episode titles for the following are: Konoha's Yellow Flash Appears!, Kakashi Gaiden Starts!!!!!, Kakashi Break Down! The Sharingan Awakens, and finally End of Kakashi Gaiden! 205 Begins the Next Generation! - whether this is true or not we will have to wait and see, but it sure sounds convincing and Naruto fans around the world will rejoice! It should be noted that this is not 100% confirmed, and may or may not be correct. So, please dont get to many hpes its a rumor

Oh my god... I truly, truly hope that this is true! I had been getting sick and tired of the fillers... that I stopped watching them by the time I got to episode... 178 I believe? Somewhere around there... I was really going to sack Naruto (the anime, anyway) if they didn't stop putting for fillers out... So yeah, you guys have no idea just how darn happy I am that they're finally getting back to the series! (Or actually, maybe you guys do...) Anyway, should this rumor prove to be true, well... I'm back to watching Naruto again. ^__^ I've been following the manga ever since episode 178, which I'd have to say is better than the anime... For one thing... no fillers. *cough*

Well, you see every season consists about 26 episodes (like the first season) but sometimes there are more episodes. You see, that it's nearly time for opening change. So there's a chance that with opening change we will get no filler episodes.
But, the no-fillers are ending when Jiraiya asks Naruto to go with him to 2 and a half year of training. So again, there's a possibility for another bunch of foolish fillers. And it's very possible, because it's perfect time for fillers.
Or maybe they make Part 2 straight with next season ends. There is also some episodes before Naruto Part 2 - the one when he leaves village with Jiraiya, and Kakashi Gaiden

Okay, so we got the last episode and Kakashi Gaiden, I think after this filler arc, or maybe another 2-3 episode of filler arc there will be END OF THIS DAMN FILLERS :/
Okay, I got the information from some particular source, saying, that Dattebayo concludes, that fillers will FINALLY end in episodes 200-206. I think you may or may not believe it, but it's actually very possible. And it's about time to change opening too.
And one more thing - the Naruto Movie 3 - the storyline is in Naruto Part 2! Naruto got new clothes, as Sakura and Lee, but not that clothes either.
But that's not the point, There's a fact, that Studio Pierrot said, that there will be end of fillers - the Naruto Movie 3 is the last of Naruto Part 1 piece. So the fillers will end sooner or later!

I personally love Naruto. I love almost anything asian or to do with ninjas. lol Anyway...I love naruto, have seen then all up to 72 or something. i have all of them up to 140 on my computer, slowly watching them. i have no idea what they are up to now, but i hear that its still going.
Thats awesome. I still have to finish watching the original naruto episodes. then i have to see about getting the new ones. looks like its still a huge hit worldwide though. it such a cool show, so why wouldnt it be? lol

If you reveal your source as NarutoFan then they said it's a very rough rumor by their interpretations of what they do know.
Well I watch Naruto every so often in Japaneese, I find it a lot better then the English version and find I can see more of the episodes without waiting! (By watching them online of course) although I can hardly understand it, I really watch the subtitles and make sure to follow it. I like the music and everything! The charachters sound different and they way the react is just awesome!
Thats great although I'm only at Episode 55.
I find the Japanese version better, too - dub!Naruto makes my ears bleed, and they completely trashed all the awesome opening and ending music. XP
Yeah, I seem to not watch the English version much because of the times. Here in the UK it's only on at 8pm and it collides with my mum's soaps and it's on Sky so I can't watch it.

QrafTee is correct. Episodes 200 & 201 are continuations of the filler, as confirmed by this site. The titles for the episodes are as follows (for those who can't read Japanese):

It's good that you like the Rock Lee v. Gaara part because I think it's one of the best fights in the whole series. I'm a huge Rock Lee fan and I can tell you that it gets better (that fight and the next fight way later on). During the fillers though Rock Lee seems more like a comedy relief (but in better ways than with Naruto).

I agree wholeheartedly - that is a fantastic fight. Lee kicks so much a$$. I think the only reason he hasn't got more fans is because most girls (and maybe guys, too, I dunno) think he's too stupid looking to actually be cool.

Sasuke pwns Naruto in their fight, but not by much. I still like Naruto better because he's less emo, uptight, angsty, annoying, etc. I'm not much of a Sasuke fan - he's far too into himself and tends to spend a lot of time wallowing in angst and self-pity, which bugs me to no end. Also, he's very "OMG U CANT POSSIBLEY EVEN TRY 2 UNDERSTNAD MY PANE!!!11!!1!" (Spelling errors and chat speak intentional. XD)

And... hot damn. That is really, really long. What with how we're currently on like episode 198... geez, that's a total of 56 episodes!! Consecutively!!

Umm... when you say "pwn Gaara," I would have to say yes, but it won't be by any of the heroes as you'll see later on Konoha and Hidden Sand make up because of a big trickery. But I will say yes, later on he will get "pwned." And yes, Rock Lee is the best character, then Neji... then Shikamaru, Tenten, and so on.

Shino is awesome, yes, but he couldn't tame a nest of fleas. His chakra-eating Kikai bugs are specific to the Aburame clan - he doesn't just use Random Bug Variety #37.

Thx man, i dont look foward to the fillers :S. Are these eps like the Tea country episodes? they werent SO bad, but they still werent as good as the main storyline, although it did develop the rivalry between naruto and sasuke a bit more. Also building on Idate and his bro from the Konoha leaf clan. Im guessing this somehow is an important story later on

what are those marks on naruto's face? wiskers? scars? whatever they are they piss me off to the point where i almost can't watch the show.
It hasn't really been mentioned exactly what they are; most people figure it's because Naruto has the Kyuubi that he has the whisker marks. A by-product of the Kyuubi being sealed inside him, so to speak.

If that was true they would have never had the "time-skip" in the manga. Do not judge the anime on what it becomes when it strays from the manga. In my opinion once it strays too far from the manga it is already dead and the rest is just greedy people wanting to milk the corpse of what could've been a great anime.
