I'm looking for some fun, new games that we can try at our LAN party in a few weeks. I don't mind if its a demo (as long as the demo doesn't suck and have time limits). Any genre is welcome.

Soldat is an amazing lan party game if you play whats called a zombie match.

Armagetron. It's based on the 1982 Disney movie "Tron". You can race around on a digital bike almost like 'snake' and imprison your opponent in your bike's trail.

a computer lan party? Lol is there any other type? No, seriously is there any other type of lan party, I would like to know. For games you could use CS, you don't need full versions to play lan or something like that. I'll have to ask my friend how he did it.
