Frih and image processing

-TomJ-
Before the Crash, I had an image gallery thing running, called Gallery2.
It installed like a hot knife through the butter.

Because of the Crash, everything was gone.

After the Crash, I wanted to re-install Gallery2, but now it takes an enormous effort, with almost ongoing support from the Gallery people.

Two imaging components appear not to be available in the new Frih configuration.
My support person tells me:
Code:
see the g2 requirements: image toolkits are required and GD doesn't seem to run fine for you.
if your webhost had imagemagick or netpbm installed, this would have been auto-detected by g2 and you wouldn't have to do anything of this. but your webhost isn't "g2-ready" out of the box.

What has changed since the Crash? Can I do anything about it?

Could you please check if it working now? ImageMagick apparantly wasn't installed on the server. I now installed it myself, but didn't test it yet.

Did you check NETBPM? That should be installed as well.

When both are installed, I will try and re-install my Gallery2 package.

The support person said imagemagick or netpbm installed.

So, just 1 would be enough, we don't want to risk server crashes.

Just reran the Gallery2 install, and everything works fine now.
