I've liked them for a long time too and have not long been interested in all kinds of music (except rock and rap). I recommend checking out the following bands, they are really good:
the Rakes,
Hard-Fi,
Louis XIV,
the Ordinary Boys.

I once found a choir version of I Predic a Riot. It was pretty good.

The Kaiser Chiefs are great. I have been trying to find out when they will be performing in California. I heard they are having a show in Manchester, UK with the Shout Out Louds. That would be awesome...
