UN to Punish "Blasphemers?"
Muslims are demanding Christian Western civilization submit to their Muslim law and abuse their recent violence as a pretext to create UN texts against blasphemy!
I don't ef'n think so!
Islam this, Islam that... Islam bombed this, Islam terrorized them. Muslims capture another hostage. Another journalist beheaded at the hands of Muslims. More terror attacks. More Islam car bombings at polling stations. More troops die in Islamic terrorist attack.
When will it end?
i think the idea to punish blasphemours in any sort of legislation outside a religion is rediculous. I mean blasphemy is different for all religions and can't all be put under law.
WHy not apply sharia law all over the world , i am sure that would make them happy ,

Dont you mean Islamic *Extremists*... and it will end once countries stop antagonising extremists and literature is brought to the middle east for all. Part of the problem is these people will blindly follow, obviously this is generalised but it should trim down number significantly. Personally im more worried about the WMD's in the hands of the US and other "Super Powers" then I am worried about them in the hands of North Korea of Iraq...

When exactly are people going to stop "antagonising" extremists - by definition they are extremists if they choose to react in such an excessive fashion. That's their fault not ours.
What do you mean by "literature is brought to the middle east for all." I don't understand.

It appears that middle east can't handle some literature.

Why? Whens' the last time the US threatened someone with them (other than for defense of itself or it's allies)?

I also find the worrying about the U.S. and other superpowers' possession of WMD more than other unstable countries a little strange.
I fail to understand how you could possibly think that a country like the U.S with a lengthy and involved process of government and decision making is more of a threat than a country like North Korea, where a single person of dubious mental integrity can decide to launch on a whim. Indeed, you could also argue that their international policies are normally based purely on Military motivations to the exclusion of almost all other considerations.
I find it strange that you think that a Country governed by a military dictator is less of a threat than doddery old George???
Yes I see a very legnthy process of Decision making in the US political system..
President = Commander of armed forces correct?
Thereby giving him direct control over the military and all nukes in the arsenal should he choose.
Frankly North Korea having WMD's that can barely reach out of their own country does not make me as concerned as US having MUCH larger nukes that can reach anywhere in the world.
The process of nuclear disarmamant will not start with a country just forming its program, it will start with a country that has always had it.
As for when is the last time the US threatened anybody with nukes.. I really dont care, since the US is also the only country I know of to have actually used them! Blowing 2 cities into the ground is not exactly a good track record. Having used 100% of all nuclear bombs launched on population centers is not a pretty mark.
I would like to know an answer to this simple question.
Why should we trust Some People with Nuclear weapons and others not. Why should some countries have the benifit of nuclear energy and others not. Why the heck do these countries believe they have the right to nuclear weapons whilst they go and dis-arm other countries for having the same weapons.

I think it could end if UN would review the vote for Israel from 1948 with the reason, that almost 60 years somehow it went wrong... The region should be put immediately under UN-administration. One solution would be maybe to ask the chinese for help in the organization and administration of the place.
But now for something to the initial discussion: Where do you (S3nd K3ys) have that about "UN texts against blasphemy" from? Did you hear two muslim neighbours of yours talking about it?
