ask help (domain hosting problem)

I bought a domain name from yahoo, and bought a web space with a shared IP from another company.

I have forwarded my domain name to my web space
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~username/ .
Now I encountered a serious problem, all the pages under my domain name such as
http://www.mydomain.com/dir/xxx.page

was mapped to a single page
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~username/index.html

Where does the problem arises? I mean who should be responsible for solution of this problem. The yahoo company or the space provider?
