phpBB code

Hi!
I want to come back about phpBB. This site has an encoding system to criptography the passwords! It's the same of the original code in the phpBB scripts? In this case it's impossible to retrieve the password inserted by the registering user.
I hope my password is secure! And yours also!

Are you referring to MD5s?
Marston
I don't think that phpBB MD5 hashes it's passwords. Could be wrong though.

Anyways, yes, I think the admins can view our passwords (by way of phpMyAdmin, if I'm not correct...)
Jeslyn
They do hash it with MD5.
Besides, you shouldn't use the same password for everything anyway, if used a different password for here that you don't use anywhere else, then it really doesn't matter.

md5 hashes are secure.
