i want to start my own webhosting company and i have deep knowledge about networking but dont know what i do need for webhosting company and how do i do set up and from where can i get the c panel and how do i do set up of that.

plz help me here.

I was thinking on the same thing (theoretically only). I assume you need:
- A state-of-the-art computer running a strong, stable OS, preferably Unix type.
- 1000000 zillion thousand GB of hard drive capacity.
- A very fast and reliable internet connection (uplink also has to be fast!).
- A web server and some additional stuff installed. (PHP, MySQL, etc...)
- Static IP address.
- A good domain name.
- If you want to provide paid service, a dedicated bank account and/or a PayPal account.
Does anyone have anything to add? Bondings? N0obie4life?

for payed service a secondary backup server on remote location with auto mirroring and both servers on UPS Razz

(btw i dont think you need a state of the art computer... just something standard with 1gb ram and prefferebly raid 2.2, and yeah, lots of large hard drives Razz

(btw, on second thought, it depends what you want really, if you want marketing only, you can rent the whole server http://www.dedicatedplace.com/ (just an example (i think frihost runs here) anyway... this might be cheaper then getting the required bandwith etc directly to your home or something Razz
